History- Local studies

One of our history objectives this fortnight was to actively explore buildings, sites or ruins in the local environment. We did this by visiting Kenure Cemetery. We worked in groups to gather information about the graveyard. It was very interesting. Thank you to the parents who accompanied us.

Art- Construction

It is 'Construction fortnight' in Art.
We designed a new and improved version of an existing form of transport.
Then we presented our work to the class.

Maths week

This week was Maths week.
We really enjoyed the Maths activities every day.
Thanks to Ms Archer for organising it.

Fun Day 12/10/2012

On Friday 12th October, 6th class held a Fun Day to raise money to cover the cost of our trip to The Ulster American Folk Park in November. They worked very hard and the day was a great success. Thanks to everyone who sent in baked goods and items for the jumble sale.

Art- Clay

During the first fortnight, we have been working with clay.
We have two finished pieces so far-
a humanoid figure and a clay head.
We then spent one lesson on self assessment.
We discussed our successes and the challenges we faced.
